He obtained his degree in chemical engineering from Columbia University and then completed medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and surgical residency at Wellspan York Hospital in Pennsylvania. He has now focused on hernia surgery as he is one of the few hernia surgeons in the country with specialized training and experience in various hernia techniques including no-mesh surgery.
